Key takeaways
- Jasper's help center says the Pro plan is limited to 1 seat, so a shared team workspace means the Business plan.
- Only Admins can add and remove team members, and they do it from Workspace settings, then the Team tab.
- Permission Settings on Business plans let you limit who can edit Brand Voices, Audiences and the Knowledge Base.
- Jasper's trust page says company data and outputs are never used to train third-party LLMs.
By the end of this guide your team will share one Jasper workspace with an owner, invited members, locked-down brand settings and a few starting tasks. Jasper is built for marketing content, so the setup focuses on keeping brand rules in one place.
Before you start
Pick one Admin who will own billing and the member list. Decide how many people will use Jasper. That number decides the plan, because the seat rules differ.
| Plan | What it adds for a team | Price as listed |
|---|---|---|
| Pro | 1 seat, Canvas, agents for core marketing workflows, 2 Brand Voices, 5 Knowledge assets, 3 Audiences | $69 per seat per month billed monthly, or $59 per seat per month billed yearly |
| Business | Admin controls and Groups, unlimited Brand Voices, Knowledge and Audiences, API access, custom agent builder | Custom pricing through sales, 12-month minimum |
Jasper’s help center says the Pro plan is limited to 1 seat. The pricing page is less clear, because its FAQ says more than one user on Pro needs a call with sales. Confirm your seat count with Jasper before you buy. The page also lists a 7-day free trial of Pro.
Create the account and workspace
Jasper’s pricing page is the starting point. The steps after sign-up depend on the plan you choose, so follow the on-screen prompts and the vendor’s help center.
- Open the Jasper pricing page.
- Start the Pro trial yourself, or contact sales for Business.
- Sign up with the Admin’s work email, not a personal address.
- Note the workspace name shown in the upper left corner. You will use it to reach settings.
Invite your team
Only Admins can add and remove team members, according to the Adding Team Members article.
- Click your workspace name in the upper left corner.
- Click Workspace settings.
- Click the Team tab.
- Click Invite team members.
- Enter the email of the new teammate.
Jasper lists four roles: Admin, Manager, Developer and Members. To change a role, open the Team tab, click the three dots beside the person’s name, select Change role, choose the role and click Confirm. To change several people, tick their boxes, click the person icon at the top and choose a role. This is described in the Changing Roles article.
Set the admin and data settings
On Business plans, the Permission Settings section of Workspace Settings has on and off switches. Per the Permission Settings article, switching Brand Voice on means only Admins and Managers can create, edit and delete a Brand Voice, while everyone can still use it. The same applies to Audience, Knowledge Base and Visual Guideline. The Style Guide and Studio switches are marked Business only. The Groups switch limits who can create a Group.
For a small team we suggest turning these on, so brand rules do not drift as people edit them.
On data, Jasper’s trust page says company data and outputs are never used to train third-party LLMs. It lists SOC 2, PCI, DPA, CCPA and GDPR compliance and says IT administrators get single sign-on, audit logs and granular permissions. It does not state data retention, so ask Jasper if that matters to you. Our AI use policy guide covers what staff should never paste in.
Connect your other apps
The pricing page says the browser extension and the integrations marketplace appear on both plans, with examples such as Webflow, Google Docs and Slack. API access and API integrations such as Zapier and Google Sheets are listed for Business only. Jasper’s public pages do not give step-by-step connection instructions, so open the marketplace inside your workspace and follow each connector’s own prompts.
Tasks to try first
Write a product page draft
Use this when you need a first draft that sounds like your company. Add one or two writing samples as your Brand Voice first, then run:
Write a product page for [product]. Audience: [customer type]. Include a headline, three benefit bullets and a short call to action. Use our Brand Voice. Do not invent prices or statistics.
Turn one article into social posts
Use this when you have a blog post and no time to cut it up.
Here is our article: [paste text]. Write five LinkedIn posts, each under 100 words. Each post makes one point from the article. Do not add facts that are not in the article.
Draft a customer email
Use this for a short promotion or a service update.
Write an email to [customer group] about [offer or update]. Keep it under 150 words. Use a plain greeting, one clear next step and no exclamation marks.
Common problems
If a teammate cannot edit a Brand Voice, check the Permission Settings. Jasper says that when the Brand Voice switch is on, only Admins and Managers can change it. If you cannot find Permission Settings, remember that Jasper says they apply to Business plans.
Rather hand it over?
Frequently asked questions
How do I add a teammate to our Jasper workspace?
An Admin clicks the workspace name in the upper left, opens Workspace settings, selects the Team tab, clicks Invite team members and enters the teammate's email. Jasper's help center says a new member is charged pro rata for the rest of the billing period.
Which Jasper role should I give a marketing coordinator?
Jasper lists four roles: Admin, Manager, Developer and Members. Its help center says Manager is for Business customers and cannot invite or remove members or change roles, so it suits someone who manages brand assets but not billing or people.
Can I stop staff from changing our Jasper Brand Voice?
Yes, on Business plans. In the Permission Settings section of Workspace Settings, turn the Brand Voice setting on. Then only Admins and Managers can create, edit and delete a Brand Voice, and everyone else can still use it.
